Sugar Cookies

3/4 C. Shortening


1/4 C. Butter


1 C. Sugar


2 eggs


2 tsp. Vanilla


1/2 tsp. Lemon Juice


3 C. Flour


1tsp.Salt


1tsp. Baking Powder





Cream Shortning,Butter & sugar.add all other ingrediants. Chill in fridge. Roll out.





Bake @350 degrees. about 8 min.





Frosting:


1/4 C. Butter


2 C. Powdered Sugar


1 tsp. vanilla


food coloring.( or not)


Beat until smooth..( add a tsp a milk if needed.)





We have had these every year at my Grandma K's christmas party. They are classic. and so yummy. Of course once I moved away I don't get to get all of her goodies.( Serious a buffet table worth!) So my Grandma was sweet enough to give me the recipe.
